The test on Para Empezar, pt 1 will take place on 10/9, not 10/10. Sorry for the mix up. I didn't realize until this afternoon that you all have a field trip on 10/10. Please be sure to use Quizlet to study. You can access my set if you go through Google Classroom. Your classroom code is under the 6th grade Spanish tab.
All Spanish classes are using Google Classroom this year. Google Classroom and Quizlet link so when you're doing Quizlet at home to study, access the set you're studying through Google Classroom and I can see how you're doing.
Welcome to all students, returning and new. We've gotten a lot bigger over the summer, especially in 6th grade. We're happy to have all our new classmates and look forward to building new friendships and strengthening old ones.
There are some changes to our middle-school Spanish program this year. I've had a chance to meet with all classes as of yesterday and discuss how this affects you. Spanish met three days a week in prior years, but this year we will meet twice a week. Our grading scale is different as well. It's a new grading scale, and I will explain more about it at Back-to-School night. We'll still have homework and tests! We'll continue to use Quizlet! A lot! We're still going to learn lots of Spanish! I look forward to a productive and enjoyable year with all of you. Reminder to 7th grade students to study for vocab test on chapter 5a. Dates: 3/23 for both groups.
Both 7th grades have their 4b vocab this week: 72 on Thursday and 71 on Wednesday.
Both 6th grades have their 1b vocab test this week: 62 on Wednesday and 61 on Thursday. Grade 8 will have a vocab test in mid-February: pt 1 of chapter 8b. Chapter 8b is a large chapter and it needs to be split. I've posted dates for January 2018 test for all Spanish classes. Please check your tabs. Quizlet sets should be completed before we break for Christmas.
All 8th grade students should bring headphones/earbuds to school by next class (Thursday, 12/7). Please bring a set you can leave at school as we will be using iPads and the digital edition of the book. Many of the activities include videos and audio. You'll need to watch/listen using earphones.
